What is an Evaluation?

When writing an evaluation at this level, you have to be more critical about yourself and your work. Its not like writing an evaluation at GCSE or A Level standard. Its more, I liked this, I liked that, I will do this next time, I will keep that the same because...

Their are 3 phrases that you must not use when writing an evaluation at Degree level;

  • Pleased with my work
  • I worked hard
  • I think I made good progress
I have got used to the way evaluations should be written this year and It is something that I am no longer avoiding till the last minute. In most cases, I need a bigger word count to get across my point including all my strengths and weaknesses and how I can improve in modules to come. Before this lecture, I thought their wasn't anything else to learn about writing evaluations, however, I now know what is acceptable to write and what is not acceptable to write
