With one of our clips that will be in our 2 minute short film being shot in first person, I thought this would be a great reference for that. This 8 minute short is shot all through we suspect is a mans eyes as it looks to be a drunk woman dancing to the classic Be My Baby by Ronettes. As I was watching this, the Japanese film Chungking Express came to my head. A scene where a girl called Faye Wong is dancing around a bedroom to California Dreaming. Here at times we have a sense of being through the eyes of someone watching her as she dancing around this room.
The clip we filmed where we are in first person of our character, works really well. Its just as she has woken up in a completely white space and she first notices that she is has ribbons attached to her wrists. It took a fare few attempts to capture this right but luckily our camera man Rhys was tall enough to reach over our actress.
