Up

Walt Disney Pixars UP has to be one of my all time favourite animation features. From beginning to end my eyes were drawn to the screen due to the emotionally captivating opening scene. Following these two young characters through a journey of friendship and we see them grow old together eventually getting married and growing old together. We expect to follow these two all the way through the film but we are hit with Ellies death. Beautifully shot, we have no other choice but to shed a tear.

The film was based on the idea of escaping when life becomes to irritating. Having a dream of going somewhere and one say making that dream come true.  Which is what happens when Mr Fredricsons house becomes surrounded by and industrial estate and the land owner wants his house to be nocked down. Mr Fredricson has to move into an old peoples home after hitting one of the workers round the head with his stick. This is when he decides its time to chase his and his wife's dream and fly to Paradise falls without leaving his home

Something that I would love to be able to do is to animate as well as the animation in UP. I know im not going to get this good over night but what iv learnt from doing the OUDF405 module is that time and dedication is what makes you a good animator. You need to know the software and to know it you need to give up some time to spend practicing your animation.

The precision in the movement in the characters for UP are phenomenal. Made on Open API which was developed by Pixar Animation Studios themselves. Bringing the non real life to life almost through its capabilities of its detail in creating animation.

I dont think I have done a bad job with my first animation, infant im quite surprised how it turned out. Working to a short deadline obviously limits what you can do but using the time wisely can allow you to push your limits and come up with something beautiful. A film like Up would take months to make with an awful lot of crew and that the reason why they get outcomes like they do.
