After watching this video I came across on vimeo it really made me think about what is it about a video game that makes me sit and play it for hours? Well from past experience of buying games and playing them, the first thing I will play will be the multiplayer modes online, if the online feature doesn't appeal to me, it doesn't make me want to sit for hours playing the story mode. The 3 games that I mostly play are all of the Halos, Gears of Wars and Call of Duty's, and this is not because of their story modes. I have spent hundreds of hours playing each of these games online and but only a few going through the campaigns to get the Gamer points or Trophies. Not disputing that the story modes for these games or other games out their aren't good, because some of the campaigns I have played in the past have been mind blowing and have left me thinking and talking about it afterwards.
