Michael Dashow

I have been looking at work by Michael Dashow who is a professional illustrator and concept artist and their is something about his work that really jumps our at me. I love how the images have a sense of realism in them but yet their faces are completely cartoon like. If you cover the top half of the images out it actually looks like it could be a painting of a real woman. I also love his use of colour. His reds and browns are used really which make the images stand out. When looking at his portraits, you cant really tell what sort of character they would be in a way of will they be a goody or will they be a baddy? A lot of character designs, you can tell which side they would be on so I like how in these designs, you cant. They could be either.
